Emerging from Norway's thriving progressive rock scene, Confirmation Bias have established themselves as one of the most exciting new names in contemporary progressive rock. Blending the ambition of classic seventies art rock with the power and precision of modern prog, the six-piece create music that is both technically accomplished and emotionally compelling.

While Confirmation Bias officially emerged as a recording and touring act in recent years, the band's members brought with them a wealth of experience from numerous projects, live performances and studio productions. That experience forms the foundation of a sound that combines the ambition and musicianship of classic progressive rock with a contemporary approach to songwriting and production.

Drawing inspiration from artists such as Rush, Marillion, IQ, Kansas and The Flower Kings, Confirmation Bias balances intricate arrangements and technical proficiency with memorable melodies, emotional depth and a strong focus on storytelling.

After years of writing and refining their material, the band released their debut album, Century Mornings, in 2024. Despite being a debut release, the album reflected the maturity and confidence of musicians with decades of experience behind them. The record received positive reviews from progressive rock media around the world, with critics highlighting its songwriting, musicianship and ability to blend classic influences with a distinctive contemporary identity.

Although Century Mornings was their debut album, Confirmation Bias is far from a debutant band. Built on decades of combined experience from the Norwegian rock and progressive music scene, the six-piece has quickly become one of Scandinavia's most talked-about emerging prog acts.

The release opened doors beyond Norway and led to a busy period of live activity. In 2025, the band performed at We Låve Rock Prog Festival in Norway, Summer's End Festival in Wales and Slottskogen Goes Progressive in Sweden, bringing their music to audiences across Scandinavia and the UK.

Recognition continued to grow in the years that followed. ProgRock.com highlighted Confirmation Bias among the year's standout progressive rock newcomers, while in 2026 the band was voted into Prog Magazine's Top 10 Best New Band/Artist poll, finishing ninth. The same year, the band hosted a sold-out concert event in Stavanger alongside fellow Norwegian progressive rock veterans Magic Pie.

Lyrically, Confirmation Bias explores themes of perception, identity, history and the complexities of human nature. Their music reflects a fascination with the stories people tell themselves and each other, often examining how beliefs and assumptions shape our understanding of the world.
